Saturday 12th January - Silk Spinning Workshop with Margaret Hansford 10am - 4pm

@ Scout Hall, Dinas Powys. Workshop - SPINNING (Wheels available). You may spin other fibres if you wish. Visitors do come and try your hand at any or all of these techniques - it is surprising what you can achieve. Members £12.00 Visitors £15.00

Tuesday 5th February 7.30 p.m. Talk / Slides - David Allen - A Nepalese Experience.

@ Old School, Sully. David will give an illustrated talk. Visitors Fee £2.00

Tuesday 4th March 7.30 p.m. Annual General Meeting - followed by a Warping Demonstration by Kathy Williams, Weaver @ Old School, Sully. Visitors Fee £2.00

Tuesday 1st April 7.30 p.m. Talk / slides - Sue Hiley Harris "Then to Now " @ Old School, Sully.

Sue will give an illustrated talk about her work and it's development over the years. Visitors Fee £2.00

Saturday 17th May 10.00am - 4.00pm. Workshop by Suzen Millidot - Chinese Knots (see talk May 2007) @ Old School, Sully.

Following her interesting talk last May, Suzen will take a workshop on Chinese Knots when students will be able to make their own examples under her guidance. Places on this workshop are limited so it is essential to book a place (See below). Members £12.00 Visitors Fee £15.00

Tuesday 3rd June 7.30pm - Talk by Andrew Johnson - Shackleton Scholar @ Old School, Sully

Andrew will give a talk on his recent visit to the Falkland Isles where he spent Three weeks as a Shackleton Scholar teaching Spinning, Weaving and Dyeing. Visitor Fee £2.00

Saturday 5th July 10.30am - 4.30pm - Workshop - Natural Dyes, @ Craft in the Bay.

Led by Margaret Hansford and members of the Glamorgan Guild. Please telephone to book a place or check availability (See below). Members £12.00 Visitors £15.00

July 14th - 22nd - Annual Exhibition @ St. Fagans Museum -

For one week, Members wil be exhibiting their work and demonstrating their skills. Entry to the museum is free, some of the members work will be for sale. Members will be demonstrating various skills daily.

Tuesday 2nd September 7.30 p.m - Inkle Braids Weaving Workshop -

Part 1 @ Old School, Sully. Led by members Jane Nicholls and Kathy Williams. Inkle looms will be available to buy or borrow. Please bring fine cotton yarns, if you have them and scissors. Visitor Fee £2.00

Saturday 4th October 10.00a.m. to 4.00 p.m. - Kumihimo / Inkle Braids Workshop

Part 2, followed by Talk - Bobbie Cox - Talk / Slides - Landscape into Tapestry @ Old School, Sully.

Tuesday 4th November 7.30 p.m. - Talk - Rosalind Johansen -

Swaheli Textiles @ Old School, Sully. Rosalind will give a talk and show samples of work acquired whilst abroad. Rosalind is herself a weaver. Visitor Fee £2.00

Tuesday 2nd December 7.30 p.m. - Christmas Meeting -
